abstract:for the later-developing open countries, understanding and grasping the factors and mechanisms that may form the international competitiveness of their specific industries is an important way for their local enterprises to survive, develop and gain international competitiveness under the conditions of opening up. in the 1980s, economist dunning proposed the concept of industry competitiveness after he discovered that a certain group of countries showed special competitiveness in certain industries, such as electronics in the united states and steel in japan. since then, industrial competitiveness has gradually become a research hotspot. with the deepening of globalization, the competition and integration of different countries in the same industry are more and more in-depth, and the research on industrial competitiveness has also been paid continuous attention by scholars and governments.
